📚 Academic & Enrichment Programs

Yearbook: Work with a team to ensure photographer coverage of school events, take photos, and help organize them for use in yearbook creation. (Ongoing throughout the year)

PTA Reflections Program: Coordinate submission collection for the National PTA Reflections arts program. (One event per year)

Publishing Center: Organize the 1st Grade Authors project in conjunction with the 1st grade teachers. (Two events per year)

Reading Programs: Organize the Kane County Cougars reading incentive program in spring. (One event per year)

🎉 Events & Celebrations

Restaurant Nights: Contact restaurants and arrange fundraising nights. (3-4 Events per year)

Fall Fundraiser: Help plan the fall fundraiser, with prep during the current school year for the following year. (One event per year)

Fall Family Fun: Organize the Fall Family Bingo Night. (One event per year)

Science Fair: Organize the student Science Fair to promote STEAM engagement. (One event per year)

Equity (Multicultural Night & PDAC Bulletin Board): Create a bulletin board showcasing cultural celebrations year-round, and help organize Multicultural Night to celebrate our community’s diverse backgrounds. (Monthly, one main event per year)

5th Grade Celebrations: Organize the 5th Grade Celebration Event and end-of-year activities including T-shirts, yard signs, and 5th Grade Ceremony slideshow. (One event per year)

🧑‍🏫 Staff Support & Hospitality

Beautification (Entryway Bulletin Board, Staff Birthday Board, & Front Planters): Decorate the front planters and entryway bulletin board with seasonal themes. Maintain staff birthday board as needed. (Ongoing throughout the year)

Hospitality (Teacher Appreciation and American Education Refreshments): Coordinate a staff lunch and breakfast during American Education Week and Teacher Appreciation Week. Meal set up and light decor of staff lounge. (Two events per year)

Greeter Desk: Assist the office staff with student arrival check-in and Oops Bin items in the mornings. (1-2 shifts per month, ongoing throughout the year)

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Family & Community Engagement

IPPC Representative: Liaison between Patterson and the Indian Prairie Parents’ Council (IPPC), attending monthly meetings and sharing updates that support district-wide initiatives. (Ongoing throughout the year)

PDAC Liaison: Partners with the district’s Parent Diversity Advisory Council (PDAC) to promote equity, inclusion, and a welcoming environment for all students and families. Attends monthly discussions and works with Patterson staff and PTA to support meaningful, inclusive practices. (ongoing throughout the year)

IP Project Arrow Liaison: Connects Patterson with the district’s Project Arrow PTA by sharing updates, promoting events, supporting fundraising efforts, and helping build a strong network among PA teachers and families. (Ongoing throughout the year)

Community Service: Support service projects like the Coat Drive and Snack Drive. (Two events per year)

Health and Safety (Walk to School): Organize the Walk to School Event in October. (One event per year)

📦 Logistics & Supplies

Pictures with Pete: Organize and facilitate ordering and photos for Kindergarten Pictures with Mascot Pete. (One event per year in September)

Spirit Wear: Work with the Spirit Wear Vendor to facilitate apparel options and orders. (Ongoing throughout the year)

School Supply Kits: Work with teachers and the vendor to create supply kits and facilitate orders. (One event per year)

Square 1 Art Fundraiser: Work with the Art teachers to facilitate Square 1 Art submissions, orders and distribution. (One event per year)
